Everything most users ask about Private Equity List in one place — what the platform is, how billing works, how fresh the data is, and how to plug it into your AI assistant or code.
Private Equity List is a database of private equity and venture capital investors: 7,900+ investors, 36,000+ investment team contacts, spanning 117 countries and 93 industries — searchable with filters for type, geography, stage, industry, and ticket size, with 30+ data points on each investor.
Fresh PE/VC data — nothing else. The database is continuously updated and new funds are reviewed as they are added, so founders, advisors, and analysts work from recent information rather than a static spreadsheet. That focus keeps it affordable compared to overpriced services that bundle reports, analytics, and features most users don’t need. Coverage and record-level freshness vary — see the data notice in our Subscription Terms.
Yes. The Basic plan is free — no credit card required. It gives limited database access (one page of results per search) so you can see how the data is structured. Paid plans: Pro ($129/month), Pro+ ($249/month), Pro Max ($399/month), or Lifetime Pro (one-time $1,799). See Plans & Pricing.
Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), Angel investors, Corporate VC (CVC), Family offices, Fund of funds, and Debt funds — plus a directory of grants, incubators, and accelerators.
117 countries worldwide — US, EU, MENA, Southeast Asia, LATAM, and more — with country, state, and city granularity.
Nearly every day, both by humans and automation. Live coverage metrics, monthly additions, and geographic breakdowns are published at privateequitylist.com/resources/stats.Update frequency describes the database, not each individual record: it does not mean every profile was re-verified within that period, that a listed person still works at the firm, or that a listed email still accepts mail. See Subscription Terms § 3.2.
The database is compiled from public and third-party sources and enriched with automated and AI-assisted pipelines plus partial human review. It is provided as is, with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency, deliverability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Records may be missing, outdated, incomplete, mis-classified, or duplicated.Verify anything you intend to act on — especially before a paid or physical outreach campaign. Full detail: Subscription Terms § 3 — Data sources, accuracy and limitations.
No. Contacts are included where they can be found in public sources, so coverage is uneven: some firms have no contacts listed, and a material share of contacts have no email address at all. No minimum coverage level, fill rate, or bounce rate is promised on any plan. Before a campaign, run exported addresses through a third-party email-verification service, remove failures, and send in small batches. See Subscription Terms § 3.3–3.4.
No. Private Equity List is a digital service with immediate access, so subscriptions are non-refundable, and missing contacts, missing emails, bounces, stale records, or out-of-scope results are not grounds for a refund, credit, or replacement dataset. The remedy for data problems is correction: report them and we fix what we can verify. The free Basic plan lets you evaluate coverage and field completeness before you pay. See Subscription Terms.
Yes. Full API access is included in the Pro Max plan, with unlimited access to investor data. Get your key at privateequitylist.com/settings/api-mcp and see the API Reference for endpoints and filters.
Yes — via the MCP server. Every paid plan includes MCP integration: connect your AI client to https://mcp.privateequitylist.com/mcp and search the database in plain language. Get your key at privateequitylist.com/settings/api-mcp and follow the MCP Connector guide.
You prompt a request for investors — for example, “Find me 50 fintech investors in Europe at seed stage.” You get a list of 50 investors, so you’ve used 50 of your monthly MCP allowance (2,500 on Pro and Lifetime Pro, 25,000 on Pro+, unlimited on Pro Max). Your remaining balance is shown after each request, and the allowance refreshes every month.
The on-site PEL AI search has been discontinued — it’s replaced by the MCP Connector and the API. The same plain-language search now works directly inside Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants, grounded in the same database. AI-generated answers can be incomplete or wrong — verify before acting on them (Subscription Terms § 3.8).
Send the details to [email protected] — the fund or contact name, what looks incorrect, and a source if you have one. The curation team reviews flagged entries and corrects what can be verified, on a best-efforts basis. Correction is the remedy for data errors; refunds are not offered (Subscription Terms).
